Supply Chain & Project M&E Manager
Position summary:The Global Programs department will serve as a major programmatic resource hub to guide and support Rainforest Alliance’s implementation of its strategy through global initiatives, regional projects, and partnerships, as well as to draw on for developing external engagements with companies, consumers, donors, and other stakeholders. The department facilitates and ensures consistent programmatic design that brings together the range of programs required to achieve impact and delivers its services in a collaborative and coordinated manner.
Working as part of an international team of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team, the Supply Chain and Project Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager is responsible for leading and implementing monitoring and evaluation projects with private sector partners in coffee to support companies to improve sustainability performance with their supply chain. This individual will lead M&E field staff to implement M&E project design, data collection, analysis, M&E results dissemination, and communication with company partners, also be responsible to shape future M&E service offers. This role will be reporting to Supply Chain and Project M&E Senior Manager. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results oriented, pays meticulous attention to detail, and is passionate about environmental issues.

Lead all aspects of supply chain monitoring and evaluation coffee project to ensure high-quality delivery of work in timely manner.
Develop annual M&E workplan for the team and prepare quarterly report.
Lead a global team of 6-7 members responsible for coordinating M&E field data collection, data quality control, data analysis and M&E report preparation.
Disseminate and communicate the M&E results or key findings to company partners and RA internal teams and gather the feedback.
Contextualize M&E findings with insight and experience from coffee and other sectors, using relevant secondary data (research publications, international and/or national statistics data, etc.) and field observation.
Design, review and advise on M&E systems and indicators on new and existing projects.
Maintain the M&E data analysis and best practices guidance for M&E team.
Prepare M&E team workplan, identify project management needs and handle project budgets.
Maintain relationships with company partner, M&E service providers and stakeholders.
Coordinate internally with other RA teams (i.e. data teams, thematic experts, field/regional teams, finance) for the execution of the project and ensure timely deliveries of the M&E component.
Support on the regenerative agriculture analysis review.
Prepare capacity building plan for M&E team members.
Education: Advanced degree or equivalent in agriculture, forestry, natural resources, environmental management, or related field.
Work Experience: Demonstrated ability (8 years’) in related field and M&E.
Demonstrated ability (4 years’) with private sector sustainability activities in the coffee sector is preferable.
Experience in managing and working with multicultural teams.
Advanced knowledge of statistics and data analytics.
Experience with statistical packages (Stata, SPSS, R, etc.) and data visualization software (Power BI, etc.) a plus.
Excellent English writing, editing and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive manner; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact culturally, linguistically, and diplomatically with diverse internal and external individuals.
Strong ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel a minimum of 15 % per year, internationally.
