Manager, Software Development & Configuration
Position summary:As the Manager of Software Development and Configuration at Rainforest Alliance, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the development and configuration of software solutions critical to the organization's mission. Reporting directly to the Director of Development and Operations, you will be responsible for offshore development managing and a team configuration specialists, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Responsible for software development in collaboration with our software partner that works primarily with off-shore teams
Drive the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
Implement and manage configuration management processes to streamline software deployment, updates and workflows.
Develop and maintain configuration management standards and best practices.
Ensure the integrity and consistency of software configurations across different environments.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of software solutions.
Conduct regular code reviews and implement best practices to maintain code quality.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to software development and configuration management.
Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance the development and configuration process.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in software development and configuration management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex software projects on time and within budget.
Experience working in an agile development environment is highly desirable.
Passion for sustainable development and environmental conservation is a plus.
