Position summary:The Technology department is responsible for the Development, Realization and Implementation of the strategic Digital Product Roadmap for Rainforest Alliance (including all supporting Technology processes), for all Global Business Initiatives and Assurance programs. “Information Office’ ‘is one of the four teams under Technology Department.

It’s responsible for planning and leading implementation of leading technology ecosystem that will enable achievement of the 2030 strategy. Ensure alignment of technology investment and initiatives with the business goals, requirements and expectations and ensure optimal utilization of investments in technology and delivery of services by the technology vendors across the organization.

Within the Information Office is the 'Digital Strategy & Technology Architecture' team. This team is responsible for ensuring digital strategy and technology architecture are aligned with organizational objectives, fostering innovation, and improving the efficiency of digital solutions. As a crucial member of this team, the Integration Architect plays a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless data integration strategies, leveraging advanced technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align integration solutions with the broader digital and technological vision. The Integration Architect contributes to the overall success of the team by providing expertise in upgrading technologies, managing API landscapes, and ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data flows across various systems.

The integration specialist is a person who has ample knowledge of the upgrading technologies. You are an expert person in various programming languages and looks into the API landscape. The application integration specialist career is one of the most demanding and interesting careers and provides continuous knowledge about the developing technologies. To start your career as an application integration specialist, you must be highly knowledgeable about different computer applications and upgraded with the constant changes and developments in the technologies. The application integration specialist responsibilities include building up system strategies, work with database and system administration teams, assist and perform system development plans, resolve problems related to integration deliverables, etc.

As an application integration specialist you have excellent analytical and research skills. You are in touch with the current technologies and have a sound knowledge of the same. Following are some of the other common key skills required in an application integration specialist:

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Integration Strategy aligned with our overall IT strategy and business objectives.

  • Lead all aspects of the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions, ensuring alignment to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.

  • Lead the integration lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Develop, maintain, and lead the Rainforest Alliance Enterprise integration Architecture based on the Rainforest Alliance’s strategies, priorities, and value propositions to its key stakeholders, as well as the Rainforest Alliance business model and capabilities.

  • Apply a structured architecture approach and methodology to the alignment, design, and development of the Rainforest Alliance digital solutions.

  • Work closely with business process analysts, solution architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure optimal adoption and use of the digital solutions according to the defined integration model and their services.

  • Define, maintain, and lead the Integration Domains/Services of the Rainforest Alliance Enterprise integration Architecture;

  • Define and govern the vertical and horizontal inter-Domain interfaces (APIs/microservices) to ensure the ongoing modularity and flexibility of the Rainforest Alliance digital solutions.

  • Define and govern the Information Domain/Services Logical Data Models and related information flows with the Rainforest Alliance Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Management teams; 

  • Define and govern efficacy of the Information Domain/Services Logical leading to logical Data Models with external information suppliers and customers.

  • Define and govern the Information Domain Logical Data Models and related information flows in coordination with external information suppliers and customers; 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred);

  • 5+ years' work experience, including 3 years in a similar role;

  • Strong information modelling experience, conceptual, logical as well as physical;

  • Deep understanding of the Enterprise Architecture design process;

  • Understanding and qualification of Lean/Agile development frameworks;

  • Demonstrated project experience and skills in information requirements gathering, current state analysis and information architecture;

  • Stakeholder management skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with all personality types;

  • Strong presentation skills and experience in a strategic and consultative technical role;

  • Detail oriented, with the ability to also grasp high level concept. 

  • Fully fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.

  • Minimum three to five years of experience of application integration using software integration suites such as NetSuite, Snap logic, Microsoft Azure API, ASP.NET Core on Azure Container Apps, Azure Data Factory.

  • Knowledge of Java / JEE, .NET Programming, and their frameworks

  • Expert in SOA messaging

  • Extensive knowledge about even driven systems, schema, orchestration, mapping, and exception handling

  • Knowledge about various architectures and protocols such as MOM, XSLT, SOA, UDDI, EDA, REST, XML, FTP, WSDL, and SOAP

  • Expert knowledge about secure transmissions, digital certificated, and PKI

  • Strong experience with data architecture and application architecture
